The Bryan Museum to Honor John L. Nau III at their 3rd Annual Gala

Astonishing plans are underway for the third annual fundraising gala, An Evening at The Bryan Museum, on Saturday, November 10, 2018. The theme of this year’s gala is Deep in the Art of Texas, celebrating Texas artists and the romantic history and geography of the state itself.

The event will begin at 5:00 P.M. and the Museum galleries will be open for viewing. Guests will enjoy live music and hors d’oeuvres as they mix and mingle during the evening’s silent auction. They will then make their way into the grand tent and elegant reception hall, for dinner, remarks, and the presentation of the Buck ‘n Ball Award.

The Bryan Museum’s Buck ‘n Ball Award recognizes distinguished individuals with roots in Texas and/or the American West who have made extraordinary contributions to the fields of history, education, and preservation through their civic and philanthropic work. This year’s award recipient, John L. Nau, III, is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Silver Eagle Distributors, L.P. and has inspired countless others through his leadership and participation.

Nau’s commitment to service is apparent through a broad spectrum of civic, community, and philanthropic work at organizations in Texas and throughout the country. His current involvement includes Chairman of the Texas Historical Commission, National Park Foundation Board of Directors, Civil War Trust Board of Directors, The Texas State Historical Association Board of Directors, and many more!

The enchanted evening will culminate in the Museum’s Conservatory where gala attendees will dance the night away with the band Radio Live. All proceeds from the event support the Museum’s many education and outreach programs.
