Wine, Music, and Films in the Garden: A Socially Distant Social at The Bryan Museum
Due to popular demand, The Bryan Museum has extended its Wine and Music series and has included films on alternating Fridays! Please note, due to the continuation of safety protocols, capacity is limited to 100 guests and we encourage visitors to pre-purchase tickets online. All programs are held outside in our gardens in front of the Museum. We encourage you to bring lawn chairs and blankets for your own personal comfort.

Wine and Music featuring Lyda Plummer
Friday, July 10 | 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Lyda Plummer is a born and raised Galvestonian who realized her passion for music at a very young age. She grew up in a house with her parents and 7 siblings. Lyda began singing before she could even speak. Lyda played her first gig at MOD Coffee House when she was 18 years old. She recorded, and released, her first original EP/CD title: Paper Heart, in the summer of 2016. She’s played at the Houston House of Blues and had an intimate tour in the Texas Hill Country.
Wine and Film featuring The Lost Bird Project
Friday, July 17 | Dusk | Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
The Lost Bird Project film (1 hour 3 mins).. A compelling and touching documentary about the efforts of sculptor Todd McGrain’s efforts to place his memorials of five extinct birds in the places where they were last seen in the wild in North America. Casts of all five statues are exhibited around The Bryan grounds. Enjoy sculptures and grounds & learn about project that is surrounding you at the grounds.
Wine and Music featuring Dave Thomas
Friday, July 24 | 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Dave Thomas has been performing in the Houston and Galveston areas going on 20 years. Singing and playing violin and fiddle in numerous bands and as a soloist. Multi-genre player. Currently playing for Houston bands ‘The Dead Rabbits’ as well as ‘The Nightcrawlers.’ Solo show can be seen monthly at 23rd Street Station Piano Bar.
