Relive the days of WWII and learn what shipboard life was like for members of the US Navy stationed all over the world. This is your chance to visit with members of The Lone Star Living History Crew on their deployment to the Bryan Museum for a day of military history.
Examine tools of the trade such as ammo and ordinance, officer gear, sailor standard issue, and USN manuals. Tales of the massive bombardment launched by the BB-35 Battleship Texas on the Normandy beaches at Pointe du Hoc and Omaha Beach will be shared. As a special treat, learn how the Waves, (Naval Women’s Reserve) supported the war effort!
