On the night of July 20, 1969, an 11-year-old boy earthbound in McAllen, Texas stared at the moon where Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were leaving footprints. He made a vow to himself that regardless of the sacrifices, he too would go beyond the world’s atmosphere into the void of space. NASA Astronaut Colonel (ret) Michael E. Fossum will share his personal stories of the challenges, the successes, the disappointments and the glories of the long journey that took him from hiking the rough terrain of Texas to floating weightless outside the International Space Station. A veteran of three space flights, Fossum has logged more than 194 days in space, including more than 48 hours in seven spacewalks. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to learn first-hand what life is like on the cutting edge of science and technology in a world with no boundaries!
