The Mourning Wave by Gregory Funderburk tells the story of a young orphan’s fight for survival inside the doomed St. Mary’s Orphan Asylum during the storm of 1900.
Greg will speak about the process of writing his book which is populated with real-life characters, historic figures, and powerful recollections from actual storm survivors.

Greg Funderburk is a pastoral care minister and a lawyer. He’s written for and spoken at over a hundred funerals and memorial services, presenting the essence of people’s lives, and comforting their families with words of redemption and hope following loss. As an attorney, he’s crafted arguments for those in need of defense following episodes of chaos, terror, and disaster.
