Summer Camp – Week 2 (July 19 -July 23, 2021)
Five days of fun-filled, hands-on history camp at The Bryan Museum. Daily Themes are The Stories of Galveston, The Stories of Exploration and Survival, The Stories of Settlement and Revolution, The Stories of Westward Expansion and Your Texas Story. Each day will include a combination of artifact exploration, gallery tours, arts and crafts, guest speakers, drama, creative writing and games. Learn about Galveston’s indigenous people, Cabeza de Vaca, Jean Lafitte, Bernardo de Galvez, Sam Houston and the Texas Revolutionaries, cowboy culture, Bose Ikard and Charles Goodnight. The camp takes place at The Bryan Museum in Galveston, formerly, the Galveston Orphans Home.
* Please note: Scholarships will be predetermined by Museum Staff members and all applicants must fill out the form on our summer camp website and submit it no later than Friday, June 11, 2021. Only awarded recipients can select the scholarship button below.
