The Bryan & Perry Family Gathering
Sunday, April 23
$30 per person

Being part of a family is something to be cherished and celebrated. Being part of a historically significant family is both a distinction and a connection to the past that is uniquely yours. It is worthy of attention.

The Bryan Museum and its founder, JP Bryan, invite you to a day of celebrating the Bryan/Perry heritage. Coinciding with the remembrance of the Battle of San Jacinto, the defining battle in Texas history, the event will include a catered lunch in the museum’s beautiful Conservatory, a talk by JP, and admission to the Museum with two scheduled guided tours. Family members in attendance will be the first to view a special exhibit on the three Bryan Brothers and Stephen Samuel Perry.

The Bryan Museum opened in 2015. Its mission is to bring the history of Texas and the American West to life. The museum collection, begun when 10-year-old JP Bryan purchased a revolver and a front-loading Derringer, two items still kept onsite, includes saddles, spurs, firearms, Texas Master artists, documents, and artifacts that tell the story of the growth of the Southwest from the earliest times. The museum building has its own history. Built in 1895, it served as The Galveston Orphans’ Home until the early 1980s. Today The Bryan Museum is a non-profit educational institution, proud of its roots and proud of what it has to contribute to future generations.
