2024 Come and Take It
Poker Tournament and Casino Night

It was a winning merger of Vegas meets Texas as The Bryan Museum’s Delegados Advocate Board presented its annual Come and Take It Poker Tournament and Casino Night February 1 at River Oaks Country Club.   The Delegados, a young professionals group  f history-loving Texans, didn’t leave anything on the table with a fast-paced evening supporting educational programming and funding for the Galveston-based Bryan Museum on a mission to keep Texas history alive, inspiring and engaging for students of all ages.

The roll of the winning dice or poker-hand had guests cheering in a final draw for curated prizes at the end of the high-energy night including a PSA “SABRE” rifle, prints by Western Artists Edward Borein and Jacob Lovett, and a Yeti filled with top-shelf tequilas and whiskeys. The tournament winner, Isaac Davidson. was awarded a stunning Clint Orms sterling silver trophy buckle engraved with “Come and Take It,” a slogan that pays homage to the Battle of Gonzales during Texas’ fight for independence from Mexico on October 2, 1835.
