Mark Bilyeu is our own Tour Coordinator and former Volunteer here at the Bryan, and a Retired US Navy Chief Petty officer, with a passion for history, and a gift for storytelling.

Sam Houston was a leader shaped as much by loss and exile as by victory, and that experience taught him when to stand firm and when to wait. His life reminds us that real leadership isn’t about constant action, but about judgment, humility, and timing.
