The Bryan Museum offers docent guided tours for pre-booked groups of ten or more. Enjoy an informative, guided tour with your family, colleagues, or friends.
Your group is eligible to schedule a docent tour with the following criteria:
Docent-Led Tours
A docent-led tour is the ultimate way to experience The Bryan and learn about the epic story of Texas and American West. You and your group will be guided by an experienced docent, taking you through the first-floor story of Texas galleries, second-floor art galleries, and Galveston Orphans Home Exhibit. Includes self-guided access for the remainder of your visit.
Self-Guided Group Visits
Tour for as long as you like, at your own pace, with a self-guided visit.
Tours typically are an hour and a half in length, and we recommend that group tours plan on spending two hours at the Museum to visit Special Exhibits, the Museum Shop and explore the Grounds.
Explore The Bryan Museum like never before! This special guided tour takes you on a journey through time to show you the building as it once was, when it served as the Galveston Orphan’s Home. Learn about architectural features, uncover the history of the building, and hear stories from orphans who lived here, plus so much more.
This 90-minute tour starts on the Museum grounds and covers the exterior and interior, before leading you to the Galveston Orphans’ Home Special Exhibit. Each tour is limited to 20 people and includes Museum Admission. The Galveston Orphans' Home Tour is scheduled for the first Saturday of each month at 11 a.m.
