San Jacinto College professor and film music historian Jordan Tucker will present a lecture with live piano music examining iconic scores from classic Spaghetti Western films. In addition to touching on the life of Italian composer Ennio Morricone, this lecture will observe and analyze the soundtracks of The Good, the Bad, and The Ugly, A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and Once Upon a Time in the West. Tucker will also discuss the legacy and influence of Morricone’s music on the new generation of film composers. Tucker invites you to listen, watch, and learn more about this legendary era of film music.
