Donor Spotlight: Jolyn and Russell Scheirman

Today we are featuring members of our Bryan Museum family who are not only wonderful supporters but who have also dedicated themselves to tirelessly making sure that our annual Gala is a resounding success year after year! Jolyn and Russell Scheirman have served on the Bryan Museum Gala Committee since 2017, specifically as Auction Co-Chairs for Gala 2019 and as Co-Chairs for the upcoming Gala 2021. Although they live in Houston, they have had a home in Galveston since 1989 and are beloved in both communities.

Russell, a fourth-generation Texan, is a Duke University Mechanical Engineering graduate who has worked for Exxon, McKinsey and Company, and Vaalco Energy, Inc. He is currently Managing Director of SynthIntel Corporation and serves on the Board of Directors of Bermuda based BW Energy Limited.

Jolyn is the President and Owner of Physician Resources, Inc. and UltraStaff, healthcare staffing firms, which staff medical personnel from Nurse Aides to Physicians, in homes, hospitals, clinics, schools, universities, and other settings.  She currently serves on the Foundation Board for Pi Beta Phi, and on the Board of the Women’s Association of Galveston Country Club.

Jolyn and Russell met in North Africa when they were 16.  Between them, they have lived in California, Connecticut, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Guam, Holland, Japan, Libya, and Switzerland. They have one daughter, Joan.

The Scheirmans state that they have enjoyed the opportunity to work with J.P. Bryan, the talented Museum staff, and the Gala and Host Committee members in furthering the important mission of the Bryan Museum. We are so glad and grateful that they have, and look forward to our best Gala yet on March 5&6, 2021 with Jolyn and Russell at the helm!
